Speaking in his office on Thursday, Bini said that the move by TSC is on point, since the teachers will help poor students from public schools who have suffered for over a month without a teacher stepping in their classroom due to the teachers strike.

"I welcome the move by the government through TSC of employing 70,000 teachers. This is orderly since it will help in the preparation of students sitting for their national examination in the course of the month as the government is trying to sort out the salary increment stalement," he said.

"Students have suffered in the last one month, and yet they are expected to sit for their national exams," he added.

He urged the Teachers Services Commission, teachers union and the government to embrace dialogue and talk to each other without taking stands for the strike stalemate to end with immediate effect.
