A 13-year-old boy from Nyamira County was on Thursday sent to a bostal institution by a Nyamira court after he was found guilty of defiling a four-year-old girl.
The boy is alleged to have committed the offence on June 13, 2015 at Etumbe area in Nyamira North Sub County.
The court was told the boy found the minor alone and dragged her into a nearby maize plantation before committing the heinous act.
The little girl screamed for help alerting passersby who found the boy in the act. They reported to her parents who immediately took the minor to the hospital. It was confirmed that she had been defiled.
Witnesses told the court the boy was involved in many crimes among them stealing, using drugs and causing chaos in the society.
The court was told the boy was rejected by his family and the society due to his behaviour.
The magistrate asked parents to take care, guide, educate and love their children to reduce such incidences.
