A 12 yrs old boy has hanged himself in Esiagi village, Nyankoba Sub-Location, Masaba North district in Nyamira county.
The area assistant chief Mr. Erick Marando confirmed the incident saying that it is suspected that the boy hanged himself in her grandmother's house after a confrontation with his grandmother with regards to homework.
Marando further said that he called the police who went to the scene and took the body to Gucha Sub-District hospital mortuary for a post mortem as investigation commence.
"I called administration police who came and took the body to Gucha sub-district hospital mortuary for post mortem as police commence with investigations to unearth the cause of the boy's death," Said Marando.
Cases of teenagers taking their own lives has been on the rise in Kisii region something that calls for the counselling of young people.
