The catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Eldoret Bishop Cornelius Korir has urged the government to introduce a curriculum that will educate children on corruption at a tender age in an effort to fight the menace.

Speaking in his office on Thursday, Korir said by doing so, students will be taught on the dangers and how to avoid it, and also be taught on the Ten Commandments which forbids such undertakings, adding that it is the only way to win the fight.

“The Kenya Anti-Corruption Authority should be given more mandate not only to investigate cases of corruption but also to prosecute those involved since at the moment they are toothless, leaving the people involved in corruption un-prosecuted,” he said.

“They should prosecute them no matter their political or tribal affiliation and urge politicians to stop interfering with its function” he added.

Korir urged Kenyans to live harmoniously with each other no matter their political or tribal affiliation, adding that they should not be divided by self-centered individuals whose aim is to get political mileage, further noting that the country belongs to each and every one of us and we have the right to reside in any place.
