Renowned comedian Churchill, alias Daniel Ndambuki, has visited the Nakuru County headquarters and met with Governor Kinuthia Mbugua.
The visit comes ahead of what will be a ground-breaking partnership between the county and Laugh Industries Ltd.
Churchill, who was accompanied by his team, unveiled plans to host the popular school holiday children’s event, The Kiddies Festival on August 23, and the Churchill Show on the Road in December.
Governor Mbugua noted that one of his pledges was to empower the youth of Nakuru and he is committed in supporting Churchill’s cause in aiding and uplifting artistic talent in Nakuru County.
Churchill on his part said his company has identified Nakuru as one of the key counties that can be transformed into an artistic hub owing to the rich talent available.
Laugh Industries also plans to host a thanksgiving event later in the year where all religions will meet.
Mbugua revealed his own personal initiative, the creation of a sustainable theatre platform in Nakuru County, and the rehabilitation of the Nakuru Players Theatre, which aims to nurture and sharpen youths with artistic talents.
Mbugua added that the initiatives led by Churchill will go a long way in enriching the Nakuru youth who have for a long time not had a bigger stage to showcase their talents.
