Migosi Ward MCA Paul Achayo has asked Kisumu County government to set up talent search academy.

MCA Achayo noted that talent academies would boost young upcoming artists through talents and skills that would create entertainment industry lively and to earn them some money.

Speaking to this writer at his ward office in Migosi Thursday morning, Achayo noted that the great number of youths had promising talents that needed to be nurtured through education, seeking support from the county government to allocate resources for talent nurturing.

He noted that most youths in the region had most promising talents that should never be left idle and instead should be supported through education and financial support.

“We call upon the county government to empower our young citizens through putting aside resources in boosting their local talents, to promote entertainment industry in the county.

When this is done, most of the youths will no longer be idle since most of the youths would end up using the talent acquired as their daily activity and a source of income,” said Achayo.

In attendance was Nominated MCA Caroline Ogot, who also welcome the sentiments echoed by his counterpart on youths support on talents.

According to her, the county government highly neglected young youth’s talents by not supporting them fully through initiating a talent academy and financial support to the youths in nurturing talents.
