Nakuru County officials have been asked to up their game in terms of performance or be sacked.
Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has cautioned any non-performing worker that time for non-performance was over.
“As a county, levels have been set that anybody wishing to work under my government must be ready to meet or resign because as a government, we are not ready to lag behind development wise,” the governor cautioned.
Speaking at the county headquarters while overseeing ministers under his government sign performance contracts, the governor expressed content with the achievements of the financial year 2014-2015 but asked the county staff to improve in the new financial year.
“As much as I know, all ministries have been allocated enough funds according to the drafts I received. It’s a matter of time for the rest of Nakuru residents to see the monies improve their lives. I am also watching,” he said.
During the function, Kinuthia witnessed all ministers serving in his government sign performance contracts.
“Time for dilly-dallying is over, everybody should now know that holding a public office has its responsibilities that have to be achieved,” the governor explained.
According to Kinuthia, any nonperforming worker had to improve or be sacked to pave the way for people ready to serve Nakuru County residents.
