Kiambu County women representative Ms Nyokabi Gathecha has called for the disbandment of Nacada over its failure to end illicit brews.
Nyokabi noted that Nacada was doing nothing to curb the brewing and consumption of illicit brews in the counties which have turned to kill the young generation.
“Nacada was empowered and still we have not seen any change from the leadership. I am not against Mututho but something needs to be done in the leadership to make it more effective,” Gathecha noted.
The women rep who was speaking in Kiambu on Friday faulted the local administration saying that chiefs are also to blame for some incidences as they are on the grassroots and should tame the brewing or even call for help from police.
Nyokabi noted that Kiambu county parents have left the upbringing roles of their children to the arms of the laws thus increasing the cases of alcoholism and drug abuse.
She said that Kiambu residents have to be responsible and avoid child neglect to tame the immorality and drug abuse among youths in the county.
She further cautioned the parents against letting their children to grow untamed as most of them end up engaging in unlawful activities.
