Police in Molo had a hard time trying to control a large crowd that turned up for the hearing of the case of a Sunday school teacher accused of sodomising young boys.

The crowd, which was baying for the teacher’s blood, faulted police insistence that they were still finalising on investigations.

Molo Resident Magistrate James Wanyanga cautioned the residents against interfering with the case saying that the law will follow its course once police hand in all the required evidence and medical reports.

"I understand that the case is very sensitive but all in all, we are tied by the law to follow a certain procedure that we cannot compromise," he said.

He warned that nobody had the right to acquit the accused other than a court of law.

The magistrate promised justice saying that the court was ready for the case as long as the process was not interfered with by any external forces.

The suspect was to be remanded at the Elburgon Police Station awaiting the results of a medical report.
