A 38-year-old man was on Thursday evening attacked and seriously injured by his wife at Kaptemwo estate in Nakuru town for going home drunk. 

A witness, Brian Onyango, said the woman used a wooden frame to injure her husband in the 8pm incident.

Onyango said the man was taken to a Nakuru hospital in critical condition. His wife was arrested by area assistant chief John Mukoe. 

Onyango added that the man, who is a carpenter, has been in a bad relationship with his wife since last year.

He is currently receiving treatment for the head injuries that he sustained during the attack.
