Former Molo MP Njenga Mungai has criticised the current crop of politicians who are propagating hate speech in political rallies .
Njenga said its shocking to see elected leaders fueling animosity when the nation had taken pains to reconcile all tribes in Kenya .
Speaking on Tuesday in Molo Town, Njenga urged politicians not to politicise Deputy President William Ruto and Joshua Sang's ICC cases to gain political mileage .
“We can trust our politicians in looking for a permanent solution in Ruto's case but not politicising it,” said Njenga.
The former legislator warned that Ruto's case is being pushed to fuel hostilities between Kikuyus and Kalenjins and called on the two tribes to ignore the divisive statements.
“We don't want to rekindle the woulds between the two communities and I urge residents to condemn such motives,"he said.
He urged elected leaders to demonstrate integrity to earn confidence from Kenyans.
“Unwarranted personal abuse and defamatory statements should be discouraged in public rallies if politicians are willing to earn public confidence," he added.
He further urged Kenyans to condemn leaders who are out to divide them along tribal lines.
