A gang attacked an M-Pesa attendant in her house on Sunday night and made away with an unknown amount of money. The attendant, who identified herself as Grace, runs an M-Pesa shop at Soy market. She said the attackers struck at around midnight and forced her to show them where the money was before they hit her hard on the back then disappeared into the darkness. Her boss Loice Mmone decried the rising insecurity in the area. She called upon authorities to bring all culprits to book and let them face the full force of the law. “At this rate, I will lose customers,” said Loice. The incident has left Grace traumatised and she is scared of going back to her workstation. Area chief Charles Banda said that residents should be keen and ready to report any suspicious strangers in the area to help fight crime. “Know every new person who visits your village through your Nyumba Kumi Unit,” Banda said. He noted that there was no reason to worry as police had launched investigations.
