Gesima MCA Ken Atuti has threatened to sue Ritibo Primary Board of management for allegedly linking him with the mysterious loss of Sh70,000, and an additional Sh20,000 meant for acquisition of land title deed and wiring of classes respectively.
Speaking to this writer on Sunday, Atuti accused the management of misleading the public that he had requested to withdraw Sh70,000 for acquisition of a land title deed that has taken over two years.
Atuti said he would sue the management for defamation if they fail to substantiate their claims in a week’s time.
“I have never asked any sum of money from any institution for processing of a tittle deed. They must explain the circumstances that led to the withdrawal before I sue them. They have one week to substantiate the claims,” he said.
He further urged the management to account for Sh20,000 that was part of Sh60,000 meant for wiring of the institution.
“Wiring was done at Sh40,000 as per the contractor but they have failed to account for another Sh20,000. We need accountability and this is the time to make the changes,” he said.
However, efforts to reach the institution’s Treasurer Peter Bosire were futile.
