Speaking on Tuesday during the official opening of a leadership focused training for youth and women organised by the county government in partnership with the International Leadership Institute (ILI) from Minnesota USA, Governor Mandago said access to Government procurement would ensure wealth creation for youth and women.

“To achieve sustainable wealth creation and employment, women and youth needs to be encouraged to participate in small and large scale business which are a growing phenomenon worldwide,” said Mandago.

He said he will spend most of his time listening to the two groups, and urged them to form small companies and join co-operatives in order for them to access cheap loans.

ILI team is currently in Eldoret on capacity building mission training for youth, women leaders from across the county and nurses who are currently serving in the county.

According to the group, the mission will help the youth develop and grow in all aspects.
