Kisumu County department of Industrialisation, Energy and Enterprise Development has now been filled by the appointment and swearing in of Johnson Awuor.

Governor Jack Ranguma, in a ceremony witnessed by the County Secretary Mr Humphrey Nakitari, swore the new executive member at the County Headquarters on Tuesday.

Governor Ranguma instructed Awuor to hit the ground running and ensure the county’s economic agenda is ramped up.

“Kisumu being the gateway to the Western Region and centre of East African Community, I expect you to expand our industrial base and run with my energy agenda. I must see commercial opportunities created for the youth and women,” said Governor Ranguma during the swearing in ceremony.

Awuor is an effective participatory facilitator and a capacity building and has training expert skills in organisational governance, project management, organisational development, institutional capacity development, project audits, policy development, programme planning, monitoring and evaluation.

For the last eight years, Awuor has been the Managing Consultant of NAJJ Consultants Limited, a management and human resource company providing services in strategy, human resource.

The newly appointed CeC is a holder of a Bachelor of Education Arts (Economics/Accounts) degree and is finalising his MA- Project Planning and Management at the University of Nairobi.

In addition, he is a holder of certificate in Crisis Intervention in Community – Golda Mier International Training Centre Israel, Trainer of Trainers Course in Human Rights Education.
