Gucha Deputy County Commissioner Mathius Rioba has called on leaders to shun political warfare and work for the people who have entrusted them with office positions they hold.

Speaking at Kebere primary school grounds during the inauguration ceremony of Kebere location Chief, Rioba said that the people have important issues that need to be solved, rather than mere politics of trying to divide the people.

Rioba further noted that the only way such costly issues can be avoided is by the leaders coming together and working out ways on issues that are of concern to the locals.

“Issues to deal with education, favourable business environments, health issues and good leadership are just but a few of the issues affecting mwananchi, and this is where your energy as elected leaders should be directed to,” he said.

The same sentiments were echoed by Kisii county Deputy Governor Joash Maangi, who attended the ceremony and called on leaders to work together, further urging area residents to give time to the leaders in office to deliver on their promises.
