Kisumu West MP, Olago Aluoch has announced that he will defend his parliamentary seat on an ODM ticket in the 2017 general elections. Speaking to the congregation at Ojolla Catholic church in his constituency on Sunday, the legislator said that he will continue to serve his constituents as their MP.
"I am contented with being your MP and will defend my seat on an ODM ticket come the 2017 elections. I am still a member of ODM despite the fact that I may differ with them on some ideologies which is understandable in politics anyway," he said.
Olago is currently in parliament on a Ford-Kenya ticket. He defected to the party after the flawed 2012 ODM nominations that saw ODM second vice organizing secretary, Rosa Buyu clinching the ticket. Olago also dismissed claims that he is eyeing the Kisumu Senatorial seat in the next general elections.
"When that time comes,I will definitely let you know as my supporters." he reiterated.
