Juja MP Francis Munyua has assured the business operators in Juja Sub-County that he is planning to raise the standards of the business centres by the end of this financial year.

He said one stop shops will be constructed at the heart of the town and that the business blocks that are blocking the access to the open air market will be demolished.

The legislator was speaking during a strategy meeting in Juja CDF office grounds that was called upon by the area Small Scale Traders on Wednesday morning.

He added that the physical planning of the town will be reviewed to identify the public land that was grabbed and reclaim it.

“We will review the 1970s map of this town in coordination with the physical planning and therefore the area leaders should ascertain the town that if anyone has grabbed government and township land, their forty days are almost over,” he added.

This follows the peaceful demonstration held by the Small Scale Traders in the area on September this year protesting over several grievances such as the need for the expansion of the business areas, high taxes and grabbed market land.
