Kabete youths have urged the area, Member of Parliament Ferdinand Waititu to focus on developing the area before campaigning for the governorship of Kiambu. Speaking at a youth meeting on Sunday at Nduaru Hall in Kabete, the chairman of Kabete Youth Self-help Group, Raymond Kung’u said that the most important thing that the area residents were in need of was development.
He added that the area Mp should therefore focus on developing the area other than having early campaigns. Kung’u explained that Waititu was voted by the people of Kabete to work and that’s what they expect from their leader. He added that as youths they had voted him in for the seat but were not really interested with his campaigns for the governor seat but for him to work and what the late Muchai had started will be completed.
He condemned the early campaigns by the MP saying that he was very young in the Kabete politics and he should focus on showing Kabete residents that he can be able to be the governor. He said that without any developments in Kabete, it would be a clear joke to for him to stand and ask for votes from Kiambu residents.
"We believed in Waititu for development in Kabete and that’s why we voted him in to represent us and not undue publicity at this time. It’s too early for such campaigns to be on yet he’s not even been in the seat for a year,’’ said the chairman.
