Kiambu governor William Kabogo has rubbished a survey by Infrotrak that rated him as the worst governor in terms of service delivery and governance.

In a briefing with the press at his Thika office on Thursday, Kabogo said that the survey by Infrotrak was baseless and does not reflect the opinion of the Kiambu people.

Kabogo said that he is among the best governors who have streamlined development.

He alleged that some people are using research companies to come up with fake statistics aimed at tarnishing some leaders who are performing well.

“We know their tricks and some of these research companies are controlled by politicians who are not happy with what we do” he said.

Kabogo claimed the statistics released by Infrotrak last week were ‘cooked’.

Kabogo said that he will not be distracted by baseless opinions and said that his government is concentrating on serving Kiambu people.

“Their baseless and fake statistics will not prevent me from serving the people,” he said.

He asked leaders opposed to his leadership to keep off county affairs and allow him to serve the people.

Kabogo alleged attempts by a section of leaders who he accused of frustrating him and using the media to tarnish his name.

Infrotrak released a survey that focused on service delivery and governance in the 47 counties across the country.

The study rated Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua as the best performing governor.
