In a bid to improve education standards in Borabu, Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) has built Tindereti Primary School an administration block and bought the school a water tank.

The project that is said to have cost Sh752,000 was initiated by the bank's CEO Joshua Oigara who is also an alumni of the school.

Speaking on Wednesday at the ceremony when he opened the office, KCB’s Manager for western region Susan Koech said that they have done such programmes in different areas across the country through the KCB Foundation.

Keroka Branch Manager, Obadiah Nyang’au, who was also present said that education standards will be improved across the country through the different programmes from the foundation.

He said that the KCB in Gusii region will continue partnering with schools to ensure that the pupils have all they need for studies and that they stay in good environments.

The school's head teacher, Fidelis Onduso, said that teachers and students will now have clean water and good offices for use.
