Speaking in Nakuru over the weekend, chief executive John Mutunga said they recently hosted a forum with the IFA president Eddie Dawney and Ireland Ambassador to Kenya Dr Vincent Neil during which the agreement was made.

Mutunga said the programme will give an opportunity to Kenyan farmers to learn modern farming practices from their Irish counterparts.

"This programme will help uplift the livelihoods of farmers in Kenya because we are sure they will learn how to use modern technology in farming to improve yields," said the CEO.

He said Kenaff is keen on establishing partnerships and collaborations with other stakeholders to promote adoption of best farming practices.

"Partnerships and collaborations provide farmers with opportunities to interact, share information and learn while fostering networks," he said.

The programme will promote progressive uptake of agricultural innovations for enhanced socio-economic status of the farmers.
