Kenyans have been urged by the Director of Communication Authority of Kenya (CAK) to embrace the use of ICT since it is fast, transparent and effective.
Speaking on Saturday in Eldoret town, Francis Wangusi said that for the country to attain vision 2030 dream, all the paperless works in offices must be digitalized to reduce the rate of corruption and for the services to be rendered effectively.
“Services that were concentrated at our head offices in Nairobi will now be devolved to the 47 counties,” he said.
The services that will be offered in the counties include issuance of the compliance licences, counter and postal services and soon other services will be introduced in the 15 counties that their regional offices will be serving.
He added that setting their regional offices in all the 47 counties will help in the improvement of infrastructure in the region, increase efficiency and do away with corruption and un-accountability in the county governments.
“It will also offer employment opportunities for qualified and able youths who are rendered jobless at the moment,” he concluded.
