A section of Kiambu county leaders have vowed to work in partnership and develop their regions instead of portraying their differences every time.
Governor William Kabogo, Juja MP Francis Munyua and Ruiru MP Esther Gathogo have vowed to focus on service delivery and cease from politicking.
“We have been derailing the agendas of delivering services and believe you me, Kiambu should be a step ahead if I had all the support from my fellow leaders,” Kabogo said.
He added that Kiambu had become a battlefield for some people who always fight and oppose every project that their fellow initiates yet the public needs development not noises.
“We have been fighting for the three years we have been in power and being publicised negatively in the media. It’s time we shift from politics and give room to developments. The public wants to see actions and not words,” Gathogo said.
Munyua echoed the same sentiments adding that the leaders have a responsibility of delivering and not politicking each time they have a chance as they are fond of doing.
He added that the public meetings have turned into political rallies and it is becoming hard for people to interact with politicians and it’s the right time to change the course of leadership in Kiambu.
“When it comes time for politics we will sing them but as at now let’s unite and work as a team putting our differences apart,” Munyua added.
The three leaders spoke on Sunday at Ruiru’s AIPCA church during a church service.
