Kiambu TNA secretary general Solomon Ndung’u has defended Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru against corruption allegations levied against her saying that those calling for her sacking are playing politics.

Speaking to journalists at TNA offices in Kiambu Town on Tuesday, Ndung’u said that Waiguru is being condemned because of her good work and the transformation she has overseen at the National Youth Service (NYS).

He said that some politicians are not happy with the development the CS has achieved in the few years of devolution.

Ndung’u rubbished calls to sack Waiguru saying that the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has not named her in any graft probe.

“Politicians should keep politics out of development and allow Kenyans to get the services they deserve,” he said.

The TNA secretary general said that politicising development will deny Kenyans quality services.

He claimed that some politicians in the opposition are determined to make the Jubilee government fail.

He said that Kenyans need development and that petty, selfish and witch-hunt politics should be kept out.

Ndungu also urged Kiambu youths to attend voter sensitisation forums taking place in the county.

He said that the party has organised workshops where youths are being sensitised on voter registration.

Ndung’u also asked the youths to collect their Identification Cards from their local chiefs and register as voters.
