Gatundu North MP Kigo Njenga wants the country’s top security agents to remain alert and deal with terror elements.

Speaking to journalists at his Gatundu office on Tuesday, the MP urged security agents to be on high alert and streamline security operations across the country.

He noted that terror elements and criminals are not happy with the peace and calm the country is enjoying and would be tempted to disrupt the peace.

The Gatundu North MP further asked security agencies to work as a team adding that security of the country lies with them.

“I commend the top security agencies for their alertness and their quick response in thwarting security threats so far,” he said.

Kigo said that the government must work tirelessly to restore safety of Kenyans especially in areas that have been experiencing attacks.

The MP on the same note lauded the National Treasury for allocating more funds to the security docket.

He said that increased allocations will help streamline operations and deal with cases of crime and terrorism.

Kigo at the same time asked law enforcers within Gatundu to intensify patrols and deal with criminals.

He said that several cases of petty crime have been reported and that law enforcers should intervene.
