Speaking at Kiogoro market when he launched cleaning exercise project that will be spearheaded by a section of youths from the area, the controversial MCA, who is also on record for being summoned to court for allegedly abusing the President, dared those questioning his leadership.

He said those challenging his leadership were a group of civil servants, most of them working within Kisii County, and asked then to respect the Public Service Act that forbids them from engaging in matters politics.

“For the last one year, I have been quiet waiting for my detractors to respect the law by resigning and joining politics. I am ready to face them but I will not entertain people working as civil servants and participating in politics. They should quit and give others chance to serve the nation,” he said.

According to him, he would soon name the accused and submit evidence to Public Service commission for thorough investigations.

“They are always complaining of projects, some of which that are directly associated with the county government. I am going to mention their names and give evidence to that effect,” he added.

However, a section of area residents accused the MCA of trying to run the ward like his own property by dismissing criticism.

“A good leader must embrace constructive criticism. I think our MCA is trying to run from accountability since every resident has a right to question his leadership,” said Pius Omingo.
