Kisii County’s Lands and Urban Planning County Executive Committee member Moses Onderi said that the Lands registry was thoroughly cleaned, files arranged neatly and all the files that were lost have now been found.

“As this exercise was on, we found the files that had gone missing and they have now been returned to where they belong and we expect that the people of Kisii get quick services,” he said.

The CeC said that they now expect quick services, adding that he believes it will be satisfactory to the locals.

Onderi however called on those who claim to be land brokers without Licenses to acquire, adding that only those with licenses will be allowed to engage in business.

He also said that the county government is trying to ensure that anybody offering services to mwananchi is doing it legally and with the right documentation.

“I want to send a warning to those people who keeping going round and lying to the people of Kisii that they have brokerage licenses that their days are numbered,” he said.
