Daraja United Women and youths Empowerment Organization (DAUWOYE) Chief Executive Officer Winfridah Abuya, has said they will be involved in provision of quality reproductive health services and family planning through organizing of training and updates.
Speaking on Thursday at Dados hotel in Kisii during the launch of the Non-governmental Organization, the CEO said they would incorporate men in the family planning campaign.
She said the organization is collaborating with ten community-based organizations spread across Kisii County to give service to people.
Abuya noted, “We are empowering women and the youths through organizing of reproductive health trainings and establishment of youth friendly corners in each of the 10 community based organizations that are providing health services related to reproductive.”
She said they would carry out community outreaches in Kisii County and other parts of the country, to help improve community participation on sexual reproductive health project.
The NGO proprietor said they have established a patient support center on women empowerment in all community based organizations across the county.
“We are conducting advocacy forums to increase support for sexual and reproductive health rights including family planning. Our mothers at village level will also benefit from the service in our organizations across the county,”
CEO Abuya appealed for support from the government and sponsors to enable the organization help the vulnerable in the society.
“We want to help the orphans and vulnerable children both in formal and informal in the society so that they can be empowered socially. However, we ask for financial and any other support to enable us help the needy individuals in the society,” appealed Abuya.
Also present in the launch was Chairman for the NGO council Wilson Kipkazi and Treasurer Benjamin Onkoba, who both promised to support DAUWOYE and other NGOs across the country in their endeavor to uplift live standards the vulnerable persons.
