Kisii residents have been asked to give their views on the proposed 2015 draft Finance Bill.
In a letter dated August 25, 2015, written by County Secretary Johnstone Ndege members of the public are invited to attend public hearings in various sub-counties to give their contribution to the Bill before it is taken to the assembly for discussion.
According to the letter, public participation on the Bill will be conducted for a period of four days starting on Friday 28 and ending on Wednesday September 2. Bomachoge Borabu, Nyaribari Masaba and Bomachoge Chache are the first sub-counties to organise the forum.
In Bomachoge Borabu, the event will take place at Kenyenya CDF hall while the public participation forum for Bomachoge Chache will take place at Ogembo in Ogembo town hall. Masimba CDF hall will host Nyaribari Masaba constituents.
On Monday, 31 August, Nyaribari Chache residents will have an opportunity to air their views on the Bill at Keumbu Social Hall while South Mugirango constituents will attend a forum at Nyamarambe at Youth Enterprise Hall.
Nyamache residents will be at Nyamache Social Hall and Sameta Social Hall. The sub-county was given two centres due to its size.
On Tuesday, September 1, three constituencies namely Kitutu Chache North and South and Bonchari will have their residents contributing to the Bill at Marani Secondary School hall, Monarch Hotel and Suneka Social Hall respectively.
Finally, the county public participation forum will be at Kisii Town in the Cultural Hall. All forums will start at 9am and close at 1pm.
The public participation dates were changed from earlier dates as advertised the dailies.
