Kisii residents have been urged to invest in insurance companies in order to safeguard their personal and general interests of their respective families in matters health.

Speaking in Kisii Township on Sunday as he issued over 2,700 health scheme cards to beneficiaries, Jubilee Insurance Chairman Lumumba Nyaberi expressed his worries over lack of information amongst area residents, which has largely contributed to a low number of registered locals in different insurance firms.

Nyaberi highlighted the importance of everyone getting covered in the health schemes as a way of avoiding financial constraints during or in case of a disaster, adding that insurance will be handy so to save them the agony.

“Let each and every individual take up a health cover so as to be safe whenever you are unable to support yourself during financial hardships, insurance firms are there to help people recover,” said Lumumba.

The chairman further challenged those who have been employed in various companies to extend their hand and help those unfortunate in the society as one way of giving back to community.

Jubilee insurance has been empowering Kisii residents in recent months, buying insurance policies to poor families in the county.
