Kisii University Chief Librarian Irene Nyakweba has called upon students and members to explore audio materials and digital books in the facility.
Speaking in her office on Wednesday, Nyakweba said the materials are now available in the library and students can access them.
“We are pleased to inform our readers that we are in possession of audio books in our university library,” said Nyakweba.
According to Nyakweba students and staff will be required to present their identification to facilitate borrowing. She further added that the materials could be borrowed for use only within the library.
“They are available on request and readers can request for comprehensive list of the materials to guide them in borrowing,” she added.
The librarian has further urged students to take advantage of the resources but warned them against misuse.
“We look forward for your continued cooperation and please make good use of the materials,” she pleaded.
They have been donated by the Rotating collection of the US embassy.
