A group of academicians from Kitutu Masaba constituency have vowed to reconcile area politicians for the sake of development in the region.

Speaking on Sunday at a funeral ceremony in Nyakongo village, the academicians blamed the political elites from the region of misusing the young generation when solving their political scores.

They said the persistent political contest between Timothy Bosire, former MP. Walter Nyambati, perennial contestants Victor Ogeto and Shadack Mose has made it practically impossible for viable development.

“Time has come for us to show them how good leadership works. We have not been happy with the way the supporters of these leaders have been relating in social events such as weddings and funerals. The problem is however when these leaders show up and charge their supporters,” said Dr. Ronald Kaunda.

According to them, the academicians will summon the four leaders to a meeting in the region to discuss the way forward, before organizing a general meeting that will be held at a central place.

“I want to assure everyone that we have taken over and all will be fine. We want to see our leaders embracing peace and leading by example. Political wars are not necessary, especially in this time that we are not in politics,” said Dr. Stella Omari.

“We will announce the date and location of meeting soon. Later, we will meet at a central place to bring supporters together,” added Omari.

This comes a few days after area MP. Hon Timothy Bosire accused his rivals of inciting youths to demonstrate against his administration.
