Komo Location Chief Daniel Waiguru has warned youth against engaging in criminal activities.

Speaking when he met Nyumba Kumi Initiative members on Tuesday, the administrator said he will work towards curbing crime in the area and ensuring the youth engage in income generating activities that will imrove their living standards.

The chief said his administration is there to ensure no one breaks the law and law breakers are subjected to the arm of the law.

“We can not allow people to engage in criminal activities since the law is there to govern us. Those who will be found guilty should be charged accordingly,” said Chief Waiguru.

He urged youth to form groups so that they can benefit from different programmes rolled out by the national and county governments.

This comes after seven people were apprehended by Thika police in connection with the murder of a businessman, student and tout in the area, in a span of two weeks.

The chief vowed to ensure that criminals in the area are apprehended in a bid to enhance security in the area.
