Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has called for concerted effort by education stakeholders in Kiambu County to improve the level of education.
Speaking on Saturday at PCEA Ngenda Primary School in Gatundu South, during a fund raising ceremony, Kuria called for improved education infrastructure to enable more students access education.
“Education is the key pillar in development of any country and I urge players in the education sector to commit themselves to providing quality education,” said Kuria.
The lawmaker also called on parents to contribute to provision of quality education to enable their children excel in national exams.
“Parents should construct more schools to absorb the increasing population of students being admitted every year. There is need for parents to promote and coordinate quality education among our children,” said Kuria.
Kuria further said that Gatundu South Constituency Development Fund (CDF) is committed to raising the standards of education in the area.
“Gatundu South CDF has provided several bursaries to needy students and this attests that the CDF is committed to the provision of quality education,” said Kuria.
The legislator said that no student would miss education in Gatundu South due to lack of school fees.
“Gatundu South CDF has enough money for bursaries and I urge parents to apply for bursaries so that their children can proceed with education,” said Kuria.
