A Gatundu South youth leader has come to the defence of the area MP Moses Kuria over allegations of hate speech.

Addressing journalists in Mundoro Shopping Centre on Wednesday, Peter Ndung'u who is the Mundoro Location youth leader and Uwezo Fund coordinator in the area, said Moses Kuria was taken out of context and did not incite youths to take part in violence.

"I attended the meeting and listened to Moses Kuria throughout his speech. He did not incite the youths at any point. How could he incite his constituents against each other?" said Ndung'u.

The youth leader concurred with Moses Kuria's sentiments claiming that was a calculated move by a section of the media aimed at sending Kuria to jail.

"News are reported as they arise. In this case, this story was brought in the public eye two weeks after it happened. Is this not foul play by the media?" asked Ndung'u.

The youth leader also accused the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) of impartiality claiming that it has a tendency of targeting Jubilee politicians while ignoring opposition leaders whom he accused of spewing hate speech in every public gathering.
