Residents of Lare Ward in Njoro sub-county have asked Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua provide them with three more milk coolers in this financial year.
Led by their Member of County Assembly (MCA) Mr Kabuu Wauthi, the residents said the coolers they have currently have benefited them a lot and have saved them from incurring losses as a result of their milk going bad. "Many residents of Lare are dairy farmers and milk business is their life-line. If the governor will deliver those coolers as he promised in this budget, then he will have given us a big boost," Wauthi said on Wednesday.
Speaking in Lare, the MCA also applauded the county government’s roads department for assuring residents that the Mbagaria -Kappyanet and Mbagaria-Milimani feeder roads among others will be rehabilitated this financial year. Wauthi noted that the feeder roads network in the ward plays a pivotal role in facilitating the dairy farming. Governor Mbugua had toured the area on Tuesday when he made the promises.
