Leaders from Nyamira and Bomet counties have been challenged to have a master plan in the development of Cheplat town to help in solving and settling matters that occasionally cause instability in the area.

Speaking at Cheplat during a fund raising ceremony to help the families who lost their seven loved ones who died on a road accident, Nyamira gubernatorial aspirant Charles Mochama challenged leaders from the two counties to have a master plan of the town and put measures of setting problems at the Borabu border.

According to Mr Mochama, having the master plan on how the town will be will help in development projects that can help the residents from both counties.

“Let us have a master plan of this town so that it can help us to set up projects which can help area residents to develop,”said Mr Mochama.

He also challenged leaders to work closely with people not only when there a problem but also when they need development  projects in their places.

Among the leaders who attended the function is Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama who donated Sh1 million and Bomet Governor  Isaac Rutto who gave Sh950,000 .
