A man is fighting for his life at Iyabe District Hospital in Kisii County after being attacked by his own bull on Tuesday morning while feeding it.

According to his wife Dorcas Gesare the man identified as Eric Nyamweya had gone for food and when he came back he decided to give some napier grass to the bull which turned to be violent and knocked him severally injuring his back and ribs.

According to their neighbour at Kerina village, Evans Makori, the bull previously been violent but the owner used to handle it peacefully.

Makori said the man was the only person who tethered the bull as it was wild and attacked children and women in the homestead.

The area chief Joseph Mosumari confirmed the incident and said that the man was rushed to Iyabe District Hospital where he is in a critical condition.

He said the residents should monitor carefully the nature of animals they keep and ensure they are handled with caution.
