A middle aged man who was arrested three days ago by police working on a tip off for allegedly being in possession of 11kg of bhang was on Monday arraigned in Thika court.

Mr Charles Kimandi, from Mugaani village in Komo location of Thika sub-county, appeared before resident magistrate Alfred Kibiru and was accused of being in possession of two polythene bags full of bhang worth Sh200,000.

Kimandi pleaded guilty and was released on a bond of Sh50,000 or a cash bail of sh30,000 and will appear for mention on November 12, 2015.

His hearing was scheduled to take place on January 13, 2016.
