Residents of Kitutu Masaba have yet again expressed their dissatisfaction with the continued involvement of their MP in the opposition politics.

Led by activist Charles Maroko on Tuesday, the residents mainly from Gesima ward said many national government projects in the region had stalled due to MP's scathing attacks on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration.

They urged the ODM legislator to work closely with the government to complete two major road projects in the region (Kemera-Magombo, and Metamaywa-Kebirigo), whose constructions have dragged since 2012.

“There is nothing wrong being in opposition but criticising the government all the times without being objective is quite absurd. We have roads that should be rehabilitated and I wonder whether they will be, because the MP is always in the front line attacking the Jubilee government,” Mokaya said.

They urged MP Timothy Bosire to consider his hard stand and represent the people in parliament by articulating issues without necessarily dragging politics into them.

“We don’t need politics as much as the MP has a right to be in any side of the divide. But it will be catastrophic if he uses us to gain political mileage. We need him to soften his stand and bring development. There is a better way opposition can link with government,” he said.
