Maseno University has cleared the double lot that sat for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education in 2009 and 2010 and will now revert to its normal semester system.

In a memo to students, acting vice chancellor Prof Joseph Chacha said that the double team has been cleared and the staggered semester arrangements have now come to an end.

According to the new system, all students will be going on a long holiday between May and August as opposed to when the students from the double intake system were in school, which forced the administration to have students on session between the three months that they were supposed to be on long holiday.

Maseno university has suffered a lot as a result of the double intake which made the institution bite more than it could chew, making accommodation become a crisis, forcing many students to stay off the campus, hence stirring insecurity cases.

The institution will hold its 15th graduation ceremony for the conferment of degrees, diplomas and certificate in their various courses on December 4 this year and the candidates who qualify for the same have been asked to start preparing for immediate registration at their respective schools.
