Matuu Traders Association on Tuesday called on the Machakos County Government to bring development to Matuu.
Speaking during a meeting with the county officials and traders association, Mr Judas Ndawa the Masinga chairman of Chamber of Commerce blamed the county government of neglecting Mutuu town.
"Our county ranked Matuu town as one of Machakos urban centres and, therefore, should not be left out in the developments as Machakos town gets renovated," said Ndawa.
Ndawa criticised the county government stating there was nothing physical that the government had done to improve the town.
"The only development was CCTV cameras that were fixed but never turned on to serve security purpose as expected," he added.
The Machakos County has further been urged to renovate the Matuu bus station by tarmacking the currently dusty park and ensuring it is watered twice in a week.
The meeting takes place while the county is experiencing rough politics following suspension of Ministers from office. This comes also a day after Dr Alfred Mutua released information blaming his deputy of graft.
