Speaking in Kabatini ward on Thursday during a development project site tour, the governor accused some county officials of sleeping on their job, something he says was hindering service delivery.

"Whether elected, nominated, appointed or employed through our County Service Board, how you serve the people of Nakuru is the most important thing, my government will not tolerate laziness," he affirmed.

The governor urged doctors and nurses at the Kabatini Health Centre, which he officially opened, to serve the people diligently saying that its a rare opportunity that ought to be utilised well.

"If you have the opportunity of occupying a public office, serve citizens with all your heart because very many people are qualified out here but never get such rare chances," the governor said.

Three months ago, governor Mbugua did a major reshuffle in his executive, further threatening to crack the whip on those who failed to make immediate impact in their new ministries.
