The Ministry of Health in Kisii County has identified some workers who are going to be trained to work at a cancer center that is likely to be constructed at Kisii.

Addressing journalists on Monday in his office, Kisii County Director of Health Doctor Geoffrey Ontomu said that all preparations of building cancer center have been finalised and some medics have been identified to undergo training so that they can be able to work at the center.

He added that the training will take two years and six months for one to qualify to offer services at the center.

“As you are aware, we are going to build a cancer center, the ministry has identified some workers who are going to help in providing services at the center once it starts operating,” said Dr Ontomu.

He added that the cancer center in Kisii is going to be the third in Kenya as will help people from all parts of the country.

“The center will be  third one in Kenya. We expect that it will help people from all parts of the country,” he added.
