Migosi residents have called on Kisumu Water and Sewerage Company (Kiwasco) officials to improve the water meter system as most of their meters were faulty.
A residents representative, Amos Ojwang, speaking to hivisasa.com at said locals complained over faulty meters and nothing had been done to improve the situation.
He stated that the locals suffered from huge bills out of faulty taps and leaking taps that needed to be repaired to have proper water consumption without unreasonable huge bills.
“The faulty meters need to be changed in order to get readings that tally without giving bills that are unreasonable,” said Ojwang on Thursday.
He called on locals to stay calm while the matter was being pursued for the problem to be rectified.
Kiwasco area agent Billy Ochieng who spoke to hivisasa.com however said the problem would be solved.
He called on the residents to be calm for the office to take action that would see the services improved.
