Parents whose children experienced sodomy ordeal under a Sunday school teacher in Elburgon have been asked to take their children for medical check-up and professional counselling due to the trauma that accompanied the act.

Addressing journalists in his offices on Monday, Molo OCPD Job Lesikinwa appealed to the hospital authorities to constitute a team of counsellors to help the children and their parents come to terms with what had happened in the most convincing manner possible.

“Now that the culprit is with us, there is no need for uncalled for speculations, let us intensify our investigations and we hope to ensure the law takes its course,” he said.

Lesikinwa further called on patience saying that threats and intimidation might compromise some children during the investigations.

“Some of these children are still young and innocent that they will not be free to speak with the police if threatened. We want their parents to work with us lest some crucial evidence is tempered with,” the OCPD noted.

He promised to liaise with the Molo Sub County hospital in ensuring the affected children receive all the necessary treatment and counselling.

“We will work together because some of the samples from the check-ups will be crucial while tabling our evidence in court,” he added.

Residents have vowed to lynch the suspect if police do not do enough in ensuring that he faces the full force of the law.
