“In the present generation, if your class five child tells you she has a boyfriend; many parents think there is no problem. I tell you there is a big problem. These kids now want engage in premarital sex knowing they will take emergency pills and escape early pregnancies but what they fail to understand is that too much of these pills is harmful to their health. As a parent, know what is in your child’s phone and guide and cancel them properly,” she said.

“It is sad that many school girls lie to their parents saying they are going for discussions with their friends only to be found in other places,” she added.

Parents at the meeting agreed they will work together in taking care of their girls in Kibera.

’’If you find my child in a bad corner, be free to call her and talk to her, if I get yours too, I will talk to her. Let us work together to save our girls from early pregnancies, abortion and pre-marital sex .We will have saved the society,” said Ahmed.
