A mother was furious over a cash bail given to her son who was arraigned in court on Wednesday for allegations of trying to stab her.
During the court hearing, Mrs Angelica Kinya opened up and told the court that his son, Mr Solomon Muguna, had threatened to stab her with a Kitchen knife after he came home drunk.
She said his son had a mental problem which poses a threat to her and other family members.
“That was not the first time he had tried to do something to hurt me I have taken him to different hospitals to seek for medical assistance but still he is uncontrollable I have spent a lot on him,” Kinya said.
Showing some of the documents from different hospitals she said the son must be injected with an anaesthetic to make him sleep of which she cannot do by herself unless with the help of the neighbours.
Mr Muguna, who was arrested on Sunday, pleaded not guilty before Machakos resident magistrate Hellen Mbati and was allowed on a cash bail of Sh10,000 or a bond of Sh20,000.
He said he came home drank but he never recalled threatening his mother.
The case will be mentioned on November 18, 2015.
