A middle age man on Monday lost his life and three others were left critically injured after a canter vehicle lost control and hit motorcycle at Sironga, along the Kisii-Nyamira highway.
The vehicle lost control and over turned sever times, hitting a shade where motorcycles are repaired.
Confirming the incident, Nyamira OCPD Riko Ngare said that the motorcycle mechanic died on the spot after being hit by the vehicle.
“The vehicle is a canter, it lost control and hit a motorcycle and further lost control and overturned hitting a 'Kibanda' where motorcycles are repaired and we now have tree victims, but we unfortunately lost one who is a motorcycle mechanic,” he said.
He also called on motorists to be extra careful when driving to avoid such incidences that lead to loss of lives.
According to the area Member of County Assembly Peter Omanga, they will put up slow bumps in a bid to ensure that accidents are reduced in the area.
